Actually, I must confess to being a straight Christian "Hetero", but if Gay people wish to join us in the messy business of Divorce, Property Settlements, Custody Issues, Prenuptuals, etc...I'm sure the Legal Community will welcome a whole new branch to their already burgeoning industry, As a double divorcee now living a "hand-to-mouth" existence at age 58, because MY former life partner "wanted to try something different" after 24 years, I have to say honestly, only the Attorneys won.

As a straight male I have no problem with gays marrying. That should be an issue for their respective religions to sort out. If they have a recognized religion that is prepared to marry them then how on earth does that harm anyone? Do the religious wackjobs actually fear that people will become gay just because all of a sudden they can marry someone of the same sex? This whole debate is rediculous and frankly is diverting people of faith from focussing on more important issues like war, poverty, homelessness. Aren't those issues more important to the world than who can marry? Thank "Me" I am an Atheist!
