Puppet Theatre Festival Back in Town





Between 21 May and 1st June, Quito will once again play host to the
best in puppet theatre from around the world, for the 8th “Con Bombos y
Platillos” Festival. The Festival includes acts from Ecuador,
Argentina, Brazil, Italy and Britain. It will fill schools and
auditoria with its depictions of a unique parallel world.

The festival includes:

Juancito y María…otra vez

“Benditos os Beneditos"

Act: Inventor de Sonhos

“De cómo Vladislao XXV llegó al barrio de San Juan”
Country: Ecuador
Act: Titiritainas

El secreto de Arlequín y Pulcinella
Country: Italy
Act: Il Teatro dei Burattini 

Mr. Punch de Londres
Country: UK
Act: Konrad Fredericks

Dates: 21 May to 1st June
Place: Sala Demetrio Aguilera Malta de la Casa de la Cultura Ecuatoriana.
Times: Monday to Friday at 7.30 pm, Saturdays 11.30 am and 7.30 pm, Sundays 11.30 am and 6 pm.
Tickets: General Public $5, Concessions $3

oh yes.. this is the 8th year we celebrate it and it gets better and better...

we'll begin in a beautiful small town south of Ecuador called Zaruma.. lovely scenery, lots to do.. the shows aren't just for kids, adults enjoy it as well!!
