Queen Omega Takes Her Message To America

Trinidad's royal reggae empress, Queen Omega, is getting ready for her debut tour of North America scheduled for the summer.

Omega is scheduled to perform at the Caribbean Unity Tour 2008 where she will share stage with luminary Reggae and Dancehall performers such as Tony Rebel, Queen Ifrica, Steele, Baby Demus and Grindsman.

She is no stranger to the international stage having performed on a number of shows including Quebec's Reggae Festival, Northwest Reggae Festival, Chicago Reggae Festival and Toronto's Jamaican Days, among others.

With five albums to her credit. Queen Omega has collaborated with some of Roots Reggae best including Capleton, Sizzla, Archie Wonder and Anthony B.

Her most acclaimed album entitled 'Destiny', is truly amazing, featuring a fusion of dancehall and R&B. A fifth album, 'Servant Of Jah Army' produced by none other than the 'Mad Professor' himself, on the Ariwa Sounds label was released in 2006.

The 'Servant Of Jah Army' project is credited with stellar musicians Sly Dunbar, Drumtan Ward, Robbie Shakespeare, Don Chandler, Leroy Mafia, Black Steel, Caroline, Dean Fraser, Stepper, Rico � all recorded at Ariwa Sounds produced By Mad Professor, and engineered by Mad Professor and Joe Ariwa.
