'Trapped in the Closet': the R. Kelly R&B Saga Continues

"Trapped in the Closet": a 22-chapter R&B opera that is easily the weirdest thing in R. Kelly's career. That's really saying something, what with the shower and "Real Talk" and all.

Even though R. Kelly himself asked, "When's this shit gonna end?" way back in Chapter 7, he told TMZ that he has 32 more chapters of "Trapped in the Closet" ready to go. He just needs the funding. Can we pay him not to film them?

"Trapped in the Closet", whose first chapter was the leading single from 2005's TP.3 Reloaded, has blown up into a freakishly-convoluted shaggy-dog story with over 20 characters.

The R. Kelly hip-hopera went on for two more years, and was released as its own DVD set. Part of the saga aired on IFC.

When we last saw "Trapped" ... the year was 2007 and Kelly had released 22 chapters, involving a little person who crapped his pants ... a neighbor with the spatula ... and a pimp with the stuttering problem.

Turns out R. Kelly is a matchmaker: Rolando Boyce and LeShay Tomlinson, who played Rufus and Cathy, got married after meeting on the set of Trapped in the Closet.
