Today on his WOR afternoon show, Steve Malzberg was having a discussion with a guest who is the author of a new book on illegal immigration. During the discussion, Malzberg said there is a 40% unemployment rate in African American neighborhoods. Malzberg didn't specify what neighborhoods- the comment was geared towards African American neighborhoods in general.
Of course this is an idiotic statement, and talkshow hosts have been known to make idiotic statements, but where do we draw the line? During the same show, Malzberg equated cleaning toilets with the kind of work that many hardworking illegal immigrants do.
I say enough is enough. We have to draw the line against this hate-filled rhetoric, or it will continue.
Please email Steve Malzberg and his sponsors. I've submitted this story to a bunch of sites. I will have the proper contact info soon.

You're an idiot! If black neighborhoods were such a utopia, we wouldn't have so much violence and urban blight. Don't hang all of your urban problems on some b-list radio guy- there's a lot wrong within the black community... Is Bill Cosby a racist too?
