It's no surprise that Radiohead would be leading the charge on this one. Post-In Rainbows, bands are increasingly concerned with maintaining their rights in a digital music climate that is pushing them to simply give their music away for free.

Here's more information about the Featured Artists Coalition.

Radiohead, Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour, the Pretenders’ Chrissie Hynde and Iron Maiden are among the initial artists to sign up for and usher in the launch of the new Featured Artists Coalition. As the music industry continues to shift into the digital age, the Coalition seeks to protect the artist’s rights over their own music. “We want all artists to have more control of their music and a much fairer share of the profits it generates in the digital age,” a statement on the FAC’s website reads. “We speak with one voice to help artists strike a new bargain with record companies, digital distributors and others, and are campaigning for specific changes.” The FAC has also penned a six-step manifesto for “fair play,” including increased compensation for commercial use of their music and changes to copyright law. Other members of the Coalition include Kate Nash, Roxy Music’s Bryan Ferry, Gang of Four, Billy Bragg and the Verve.

David Gilmour reprising his guitar parts for a live rendition of Atom Heart Mother. The piece was staged by Ron Geesin, original co-writer / composer, and the Italian Pink Floyd were the backing band.

The gig took place at Cadogan Hall, Chelsea, London, 2008 and was really rather special.

This photo was taken in august 08 while i was out with friends in a bar called Springs & Airbrake in Belfast.

Actually i wasn't aware who was playing that day.
when the band started playing i was kidding with friends on how the lead singer was looking scary.
i have to admit i am not into heavy metal but i started to enjoy it and pulled my camera out.hey you go!

I'm a Singer/Songwriter/Poet and I know my syuff is mrketable. I also know about legal copyrights. What advise does anyone have on the next step in getting my Cd to the right people. I've been famliarizing myself with the sngr/sngwrtr scene in Indy and am starting to book gigs, but I know there's alot of potential online. Please, any tips are greatly appreciated.

I am making a web-series and would like to use the Radiohead song "Creep." How do I go about getting the rights for that song?

Thank you for any information you can provide!
