Radiohead Thom York has announced that his new band with Red Hot Chili Peppers' Flea will make their live debut tonight, October 2, at Los Angeles' Echoplex.

This announcement came rather last minute as the band was originally due to perform their first show on Sunday, October 4. Almost immediately after the announcement was made, tickets hit Craigslist and eBay, selling for around $750.

...writing on the Dead Air Space blog, the Radiohead singer has decided to kick things off early."So yes, that band that doesn't really have a name that I'm working with at the moment have decided to do a warm-up show," he explained.

Yorke and his band are also scheduled to play at Los Angeles' Orpheum Theatre on October 4 and 5 as a coming-out party. It is believed that Yorke will take these shows as an opportunity to debut his exclusie New Moon soundtrack song, Hearing Damage. Also, according to Mauro Refosco, who will be performing on stage with Yorke, the set list will feature Yorke's entire solo album, The Eraser, and four extra songs.

Tickets are available from Ticketweb.com.

Radioheads’ front man Thom Yorke will be making an appearance at a Los Angeles venue called the Echoplex.  Radiohead fans are typically pretentious, vainglorious, and all think they're some sort of pseudo-musical intellectuals, who are actually just misplacing their frustration over constant belittling, humiliation, and being outperformed in every aspect of existence by a truly manly and sophisticated group of people – known as Slayer fans.  But then, The Echoplex is also a very expensive and sought after guitar effect unit, designed by Mike Battle and sold by the Maestro company in the 50s. One is worth getting payday loans to get, and the other is a venue.
