Ramgopal Varma to sue a TV channel
Director Ram Gopal Varma has announced that he would sue TV 9, a local Telugu channel for telecasting a derogatory programme on him.
In a press note sent to media today he said the channel has attributed several comments he had not made, to him. One of the comments he said the TV misquoted him was that he called the audience bloody fools.
He wrote in the press note: “With regard to an extremely derogatory programme done by TV 9 on me titled ‘Ram Dhamaal Varma’ where they have attributed many false quotes to me, of which one example is ‘prekshakulu verri vedhavalu’ (audience are bloody fools), I am hereby informing that I am initiating criminal action against TV 9 for defamation with a criminal intent.”
RGV's latest Film ‘KSD Appala Raju’ movie got a flop talk on its first day itself. The movie is boring with lengthy scenes, and from the beginning to end, it tested audience’s patience.
TV 9 has telecast a discussion on the film in which the Channel had strongly criticized the film, further increasing the anger of the noted film director.
