Oprah's ex-boyfriend, Randolph Cook, has revealed in his book 'The Wizard of O: My Life with Oprah', that she had a cocaine addiction in the 80s. Cook is dying from esophageal cancer, and says that during his 6 month affair with Oprah she used cocaine on a regular basis, even when filiming her show.

Oprah had confessed on the show that she briefly tried cocaine in the 70s, blaming it on her obsession with a drug dealer.

However, Cook claims that she resumed the habit during their love affair, which began in 1984. Oprah was apparently the one who taught him how to smoke crack cocaine.

The ex-lover says that he only has two years to live after he was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. He blames Oprah for his problems and wants his story told before he dies.

Why are celebrities always the target of jilted broke lovers or persons that they had a relationship with? He is dying and now wants to ruin Oprahs life. Well, she is too powerful for his words to hurt her. He is a jerk.

I hope this guy dies a painful "rat" death. He has a lot of nerve blaming her.

This really is pathetic.  I don't find the story itself to be unbelievable, I wouldn't be surprised if there were at least some truth to it.  In fact, he tried to get a book deal about 10 years ago and claims he was essentially blackballed and then "paid off" to make it go away.  But I just read a few pages of the book online.  This cat doesn't accept responsibility for anything.  "Oprah made me do it... It's Oprah's fault I'm a deadbeat dad, a gigilo, and a drug addict…Did I mention my parents were alcoholics..."   Excuse after excuse.  This guy disgusts me.  After reading a few pages, I feel like I owe him a HUGE THANKS for never being a part of my life.  I'd have to say that growing up with no male role model doesn't seem nearly as bad after listening to my "father" try to explain why he is such a poor excuse for a man. Ironically, he taught me so much more by not being there than he ever could have if he had chosen to participate in my life.  I don't wish death on anyone, but you reap what you sew, Dad.

I don't know what to say here, if Oprah had a cocaine addiction I think we would have learned sooner about it, she had she has a very active public life, don't you think anyone would notice eventual addiction problems? I prefer not to believe Rodolph's version, he probably has his reasons of revenge but this is not an excuse to lie. Has Oprah ever been in drug rehabilitation?
