South remakes have been Bollywood’s successful secret for years and things get more interesting when renounced director Priyadarshan is at the helm of things. ‘Rangrezz’ is a remake of Tamil blockbuster ‘Naadodigal’, so the expectations from the Hindi remake are quite high. The movie begins with Rishi Deshpande (Jackky Bhagnani), a Maharashtrian boy with strong values and he is ready to go to any extent to help his friends Winu (Amitosh Nagpal) and Pakkya (Vijay Verma). Priyadarshan manages to capture the beautiful Marathi culture especially in the song ‘Govinda ala re’. Besides the ‘bromance’, Rishi is also in love with a very vivacious girl Megha (Priya Anand) and the two are very keen on getting married. The song ‘Dil ko Ayaa Sukoon’ sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is a mesmerizing romantic track and has been beautifully shot.
