Rapper Ortega Henderson Killed in Shooting

Rapper Ortega Henderson, who went by the stage name of Tega, has died of gunshot wounds after being shot May 16 in Wellston, Missouri.

The young rapper was a friend and associate of rapper Nelly and the St. Lunatics. He had had been recording an album with his group, Da Camp. The group were hoping to have their record tie in with the upcoming release of a new record by St. Lunatic Murphy Lee.

Police have yet to release details of the shooting. Henderson had a history of legal problems. He was arrested on two drug charges and a first-degree felony charge.  In 2008, he was sentenced to a year’s probation for a felony weapons charge.
