The RCMP Musical Ride performed last night at the Beban Park fairgrounds before an appreciative crowd. The Ride performed twice to help raise funds to maintain the Vancouver Island Exhibition Fall Fair. The RCMP Musical Ride(Royal Canadian Mounted Police) performs around the country and often puts on exhibits to raise money for non-profit organizations as well as perform their very important PR work.
The federal police force may run into criticism over policing incidents, but the "Queen's Cowboys" can do no wrong when they are dressed in red serge and mounted on a black horse. Many in the crowd came to the fairgrounds early to obtain the best viewing and they were rewarded with another grand performance of precision drill riding.
After the Ride, people were invited to pet the horses and to come to the horse barn to talk to the riders.
I admit, I'm a sucker for horse performances, but the RCMP Musical Ride never fails to impress.
