Great to see Henry Winkler supporting such a good cause. Most young kids don't know much about 'Happy Days' and 'The Fonz' but they will know about Winkler in his new role as children's author and his sharing about suffering with dyslexia will give hope to children who too find it difficult to read or have dyslexia.

Henry Winkler, who played The Fonz in TV series Happy Days joined Ed Balls, the Schools Secretary, at a launch to encourage children's reading.

Winkler told of his struggle with dyslexia as he launched the First News Reading tour at St Matthew's School in central London, and read extracts from his own series of Hank Zipzer books.

The children's novels, which Winkler penned himself, are about a 10-year-old boy with dyslexia.

He said: "It was very difficult for me as a child, and it is still. I took all that experience and put it into these books."
