The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Danielle Staub was smiling yesterday when the ruling came through on her hair pulling case. The daughter of cast member Jacqueline Laurita, called Ashley Holmes, was fined $189 for pulling Danielle's hair last November.

Danielle said her hair extensions were pulled out by Holmes after a fight at a North Jersey Country Club during a benefit.

Danielle had also filed a complaint against Jacqueline and other castmate Teresa Giudice saying they had threatened her and cursed at her, but she later dropped the claims.

A source tells PEOPLE that Staub, whose book The Naked Truth is due out in May, is pleased with the ruling. “She feels great, of course,” the source says. “Ashley was found guilty of assault.” –David Caplan
