Just a note for the Grave Site OBJECTS (OFFERINGS) group. First of all, thank you very much for asking me to add this photo!

This phenomenon, the leaving of the lapel poppies on a cenotaph or memorial of some sort, has become almost standard in the past few years. I'm not sure how it started, I believe someone just walked up and left one on the War Memorial in Ottawa and people followed, but I've seen photos of the Ottawa one absolutely -covered- to the point where you can no longer see the granite. It hasn't caught on to that extent here in Montreal yet, but it's starting.
