Same-gender couples and their heterosexual allies rallied in front of Fort Bragg Town Hall on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008 in response to the passage of Prop 8 in our recent election. Prop 8 changes the California Constitution by taking away the marriage rights granted to same-gender couples by the California State Supreme Court in May, 2008.
In solidarity, thousands gathered nationally to protest the passage of Prop 8 which writes discrimination into the California Constitution. In San Francisco a huge crowd at San Francisco City Hall applauded Rev. Amos Brown who gave an incredibly moving speech which you can hear on YouTube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=0yQ11--MsO0
