Global BC Sports Reporter Barry Deley Won the Lottery on Live TV. Here is the Video

A reporter in Vancouver, BC won a $2.5 million lottery grand prize live on air. The October 31, 2011 edition of a Global BC newscast featured a draw for a lottery with funds going to the BC Children's Hospital. The grand prize? A $2.5 million dream home or $2 million in cash.

The winning ticket was drawn out of a barrel and the winner was announced as "Barry Delaney of Port Moody" The anchors working the broadcast joked that the winner might have been their colleague Barry Deley, who lives in the Vancouver suburb of Port Moody. Eventually, they call up Deley live on air and tell him that he won the lottery.

Deley went on to say that he never plays the lottery but made an exception for the BC Children's Hospital lottery since the proceeds go to a good cause.
