The Rev Cause of Death Inconclusive: Jimmy Sullivan Autopsy
Jimmy Sullivan's autopsy was inconclusive, said the Orange County coroner's office. The Rev's cause of death still unclear.
Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan died on Monday night in his home in Huntington Beach, CA. At age 28, Jimmy Sullivan was the drummer and co-founder of Avenged Sevenfold, a rising metal band which won the MTV Best New Artist Award in 2006.
The toxicology test was not conclusive, and more tests would be performed to determine the cause of death. It is not unusual to have a inconclusive test result when the cause of death is not apparent. Avenged Sevenfold's manager, Larry Jacobson, said Jimmy appeared to be in good health few days before his death.
Early this decade, the group built a strong local following playing in clubs and releasing recordings on small, independent record labels. A7X established a national audience with the 2005 release of its major-label debut for Warner Bros. Records, "City of Evil," which has sold just shy of 1 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
