REVIEW: The Jay Leno Show
The Jay Leno Show is like Leno's Tonight Show, but disorganized. Remember when everyone wondered what would be the difference between Conan O' Brien's Late Night and Tonight Show and it turned out to be the same except for better sets and budget? Well, it's the same for Leno's new show except, well, it's entirely the same. There was the usual monologue, Kevin Eubanks' cringe-worthy jokes and headlines. However, they changed the order of it just to say it's different.
The only thing that was different and newsworthy was Kanye West. During last night's MTV Video Music Awards, West went on stage during Taylor Swift's acceptance speech and said that fellow nominee Beyonce deserved it more. It got a huge backlash. Today, he was performing on the show and used a few minutes beforehand to apologize. However, it was really weird and awkward. What he did was messed up, but Leno and West made it seem more serious than it was. West almost cried. That's how overblown the apology was.
Anyway, overall, if you like Leno you will like the show. If you don't then you won't. Will NBC's risk of airing Leno at 10pm opposite crime dramas work? Only time will tell. NBC claims that this is perfect counter-programming, but if you want comedy at 10pm just watch cable. For this to work people have to REALLY like Leno. Otherwise, they have a lot of other options.

I thought the first show was TERRIBLE, Jerry Seinfeld was awkward, rehearsed, and not funny!!! And bringing up Kanye's mom Jay, NOT COOL, and incredibly awkward for all of us watching. hope the show gets better!

I think he did an awesome job, jay didnt expect kanye doing what he did on VMA's, so he figured he would give him a chance to apolagize. Which he did and i accepted his apaology and i can tell he meant it, we all make mistakes. I am pretty sure this blogger makes mistakes all the time by writing this stupid crap. i mean what was jay supposed to do wipe his tears away, and let him sat in his lap and hold him. No, the show had to go on and i didnt think it was stupid that jay said are you ready to sing. I mean that is what he was there to do so you made a mistake suck it up and go on. And jay made me laugh alot during his show, he always does and if he wasnt good then he wouldnt have been number 1 for the past 15 years. this blogger here who rights this idiotic blog doesnt do crap except just sit on his computer and write bad stuff about people. Its pretty sickening i think, bloggers are the scum of the earth because they hide behind words and internet when there ownsleves are far worse then who they bash. i wish bloggers like this guy would seriously just quit and stop being jerks and get a real job. people like you are defiantly going to hell and i hope you burn down there, because you are just horrible people and need a rude awakening and i hope you get it because its not going to be pretty for you later.

He lost my loyalty at "sphincter" and the other crude jokes. I think he's also lost his base, the Midwest. I won't be taping this show any more.

Show needs alot of work. The interview with West seemed staged and phony. Even Leno seemed scripted during it. Hip-hopper needs to crawl back under rock he came out from under.

Oh my god is this bad. Hey Kanye, so you think your mom would be disapointed in your behaviour? yeah, okay well are you ready to sing......Nice segway Jay!The Oprah bit was almost as awkward as the woman at the car wash. This might be Chevy Chase' chance to get another talk show.
