Rick Perry called on his homophobia by gay teen girl
Rick Perry is running on his anti-gay agenda. Well, a 14 year old girl who stated to reporters that she was bi-sexual, asked the would be theocrat in chief, "I just want to know why you’re so opposed to gays serving openly in the military, why you want to deny them that freedom when they’re fighting and dying for your right to run for president."
That was a good question by Rebecka Green, though I would disagree that troops are fighting and dying overseas for anyone's freedoms or right to be president. Although, it is something commonly stated by rightwingers (such as Perry) to critics of a war. But the overall thrust of her questioning was a fair one. Why are people like Perry, and the GOP presidential field as a whole, so hostile towards gays?
Perry stated he believes so, because homosexuality is a sin, according to him. See, this is the problem with religion. It takes superstitious nonsense beliefs from religious dogma and those get enacted into law, if people like Perry get elected to high public office. There is no sin. It's all man made. It is as imaginary as demons or fairies. Perry's opposition to gay right is just as absurd as the Islamic fundamentalists opposing the right of women to drive a car in Saudi Arabia because of their religion. They are both absurd sets of beliefs and both deserve to be regarded as the nonsense that they rightly are in fact.
Oh by the way, Perry was educated earlier in the day by someone who pointed that fracking (which uses high pressure water and other chemicals to break up rocks to get deposits of natural gas) has caused environmental problems. Perry, being the yes man of big corporations, didn't seem to know anything about this.
