She raised eyebrows with her collaboration on Chris Brown's "Birthday Cake" and Rihanna has finally spoken up about the decision to do the project.

During her chat on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show, the "We Found Love" songstress explained her mindset behind the move.

"The first song that came about was 'Birthday Cake.' I mean we ended up recording them at the same time and executing them together, but I reached out to him about doing 'Birthday Cake' because that's the only person that really-it made sense to do the record. Just as a musician despite everything else that was going to be the person. You know I thought about rappers, and I've done that so many times, and the hottest R&B artist out right now is Chris Brown. So I wanted him on the track, and then in turn he was like 'Why don't you do the remix to my track?' and it was a trade off. We did two records. One for my fans. One for his fans, and that way our fans can come together. There shouldn't be a divide. You know? It's music, and it's innocent."

As for what's next, Ri-Ri shared, "Right now, I'm doing a bunch of meetings, little things here and there. Some video, some photoshoots. No touring this year. I won't go on tour until next year. Though this year were doing movies, and still making music, and music videos. I'm really prepping for the next year."

She's also working on "a small collection that I do for Armani. It's a collaboration, and it's like 7-10 pieces. Apparel and accessories and we've done the fall collection already, and it was very, very successful and now the spring collection is about to drop. After that I'm really pursuing a fashion line of my own. I want to design. This is also a road that I want to earn it. So I'm working with designers. Designers that I respect, and [fashion] companies that I respect. I want people to really trust me before I just say 'Buy it, because it's mine.'"

Looking edgy as she stepped out in NYC, Rihanna was spotted leaving her Big Apple hotel on Tuesday night (March 13).

Taking pictures with fans and signing autographs, the "What's My Name" songstress rocked a jean jacket, black leggings, pointed toe Louboutin heels and a winter hat as she made her way out for dinner at Emilio's Ballato Restaurant in the SoHo neighborhood.

RiRi was also out in the Big Apple last night during which time her wardrobe was making headlines for showing what many felt to be a bit too much.

Wearing a mesh shirt with no bra, the 24-year-old gave fans and paparazzi more than they bargained forwith the flash of their cameras.

Rihanna insisted that the cameras made her skin-baring shirt more noticeable and when interested fans asked the songbird if she had seen the photos, she joked, saying, "You mean my t*tties?"

The sexy Barbadian continued on with her night after shouting, "You come up with the flash man!"

Giving everyone a reason to look forward to May 18th, “Battleship” has released a brand new teaser trailer.

The high-energy clip features stars Rihanna in addition to Liam Neeson, Brooklyn Decker, and Taylor Kitsch in a dire situation opposite a deadly armada from an unknown origin.

Overseas moviegoers will have a chance to see the fantastic flick next month, as it opens April 11th.

“Battleship” is directed by Peter Berg and based on the long-standing board game of the same name by Hasbro.
