Robert Pattinson and Natalie Portman in Oscar Night Flirtation

Hearththrob Robert Pattinson, who plays vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight movies, was spotted getting cozy with Queen Amidala herself, Natalie Portman, at the Vanity Fair Oscar after-party.

Does the Oscar night flirtation between Pattinson and Portman mean the end of the popular actor's single days? It's still too soon to tell, although fans will be relieved to know that Robert Pattinson left the Vanity Fair party alone.

"[Portman] seemed really into him and went right up to say hello once she spotted him," a Pattinson pal told E! Online after they were spotted talking to each other at the famed Vanity Fair Oscar Party. The friend added that "whiskey and Natalie Portman" helped the young star deal with his nerves.

Although Pattinson and Portman, who could possibly be a closeted Twilighter, were seen chatting it up at the party, Pattinson reportedly went home all by his lonesome (much to the relief of Team Edward members the world over).

OMG, they were just chit-chatting with eachother!! Here goes the "let's pair Robert Pattinson with every girl he talks to" game! She was helping him because he was nervous! We all know that he is sensitive and is scared of being in big crowds... so why even think of every little bit the two were doing at the freakin' party? He left the party alone! Give the guy a break, he is new in the Hollywood Biz so stop making rumors that might ruin the guy's career!
