Robert Sawyer's 'Flash Forward' book now ABC TV series

Update: The Disney subsidiary has just closed the deal, and will making the series.

Canadian author Robert J. Sawyer's book, 'Flash Forward', was recently specced by 'Dark Night' writer David S. Goyer and 'Star Trek' writer Brannon Braga as a serial sci-fi drama that was offered to ABC.

Based on Robert J. Sawyer's sci-fi novel, "Flash Forward" is considered very compatible with "Lost." It chronicles the chaos that ensues after everyone in the world blacks out for 2 minutes, 17 seconds and has a mysterious vision of the future that changes lives forever.

The series had also been in development at HBO for a while before being offered to ABC and Fox where a bidding war erupted.
