Is Robin Williams Dead? Uh, No. Don't Believe the Robin Williams Death Rumor Making the Rounds on February 1, 2013

It's been a while since we had a good celebrity death rumor (just ask Morgan Freeman who seems to die every three to six months). The latest victim of the dreaded online celebrity death hoax: Robin Williams.

A few folks on Twitter got the idea that Robin Williams died on February 1, 2013.  He did not. As far as anyone can tell, Robin Williams is not dead.

The Robin Williams death story appears to have been posted on a site called Global Associated News. It claims Williams fell "50 feet to his death in a remote area of the Hahnenkamm mountains."

A nearly identical Robin Williams death hoax was circulated last year. 

Rest assured that Robin Williams is alive and well.
