Ron Livingston 'The Time Traveler's Wife' Video Interview

Actor Ron Livingston has filed a lawsuit against an anonymous Wikipedia editor who has continuously been altering Livingston's profile information. The anonymous person has reportedly been posting information about Livingston including his sexuality and marital status.

Livingston is particularly upset about the editor posting that he is gay, and suspects that this same person is behind the creation of a fake poser Facebook profile in Livingston's name.

The Wikipedia entry, for example, says the 42-year-old Livingston was married Nov. 2 to Rosemarie Dewitt “although he is gay and officially confermed (sic) it in TMZ he is gay and darn proud.”

Livingston's lawsuit against the anonymous culprit, launched December 5th, alleges that the Wikipedia editor is guilty of "desperate acts." that are an invasion of privacy.

The Communications Decency Act makes sites such as Wikipedia and Facebook immune from lawsuit charges, but individuals who post content of this nature to the site can still be prosecuted in court.
