The play has been stopped due to rain. Mohammad Hafeez picked his second wicket of the match as Behardien attempted to clear deep square leg but couldn’t go all the way. It has been a special innings from the right-hander keeping in mind that South Africa had lost their top five batsmen at the score of 62. Robin Peterson is still there at the crease batting on 39 off 58 balls.
Pakistan would want to make a comeback after they suffered defeats at the hands of South Africa who comprehensively defeated them in the first ODI by 125 runs. Batting first, with useful contributions from all the batsmen, the Proteas posted a score of 315 runs. The highlight of their innings was the unbeaten century scored by Colin Ingram.
In reply, Pakistan got off to a decent start as Nasir Jamshed and Mohammad Hafeez added 42 runs for the first wicket. But none of the batsmen managed to score a big knock and towards the end, Pakistan fell well short of the target.
