Music sites and Sade fan sites excitedly posted about the release of the Solider of Love Video, the song off of Sade's new album. But Sony Music Entertainment (SME) in a bizarre move pulled the the Soldier of Love video from Youtube, so the only place fans can catch the video is on Amazon - Sade's official Twitter account has a link to it.

Obviously, Sony is well within its right to pull Soldier of Love by Sade, as she is a Sony artist but the strategy is questionable.

Consider this, the Soldier of Love audio version is already on the Sony Music Channel's YouTube page. If someone else leaked the video of Soldier of Love then Sony should have just uploaded the official version themselves, considering the audio version already has over 439,000 views or in this case, "listens."

Even more bizarre is the you go to the Sade section of  Myplay the music area for Sony Music Entertainment, it is where you can listen to and watch artists signed to Sony Music.

Not a single mention of the new album or single Soldier of Love. To get that you have to click through and go to Sade's official website to have any news of her new record.

Sade's MySpace Page has a link to the Soldier of Love Video on Amazon.

The single, Soldier of Love, has already been released and the album will be released next month so why would Sony not want to have a wide a distribution as possible for the video Soldier of Love, especially since Youtube is the destination of choice for music videos and not Amazon?

Sony should not be making it harder for fans to find videos of their favorite artists, they should be making it easier. If someone can clear this up please let me know.
