Talk about a romantic occasion, actress Salma Hayek and Francois-Henri Pinault were married in Paris this past Saturday on that most festive of special times for lovers: Valentine's Day.

But rather than a big Hollywood blowout, the couple were married at a small civil ceremony without the paparazzi and fanfare usually associated with celebrity weddings.

Hayek married Francois-Henri Pinault, an esteemed French businessman who is the CEO of PPR.

The couple had been engaged since 2007.

Salma Hayek picked a most romantic time and place to get married: Valentine's Day in Paris. The Mexican-born actress wed French magnate Francois-Henri Pinault in a civil ceremony Saturday at the City Hall in Paris' chic 6th arrondissement, according to an official there.

The wedding was a small affair, said the official, who was speaking on condition of anonymity, in accordance with policy.

Hayek's spokeswoman, Cari Ross, confirmed in an e-mail Monday that the marriage had taken place in Paris Saturday. No further details were provided.

Well, i suppose she may not realize this yet, but it is a good for him, he now has to worry only about one day to remember rather then two and may even save him some money in the long run, then again maybe not.
