THE SALVATION ARMY: "Robert Davi is doing the most good!"
(December 1, 2011) -- When it comes to pulling up one's sleeves, loosening the collar and jumping into the fray to make a difference in the lives of fellow Americans, The Salvation Army is an organization that is very selective about the community leaders it endorses.
On the heels of the Thanksgiving holiday, The Salvation Army's national headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia, did not waste time embracing the recent actions of world-renowned actor and recording artist Robert Davi.
On the same day (November 28) this charitable group officially announced its partnership with Davi, the Hollywood celebrity was already hitting the airwaves in Los Angeles, spreading the news about his and The Salvation Army's emergency mission of benevolence.
To warm reception and national applause, Davi has released his new single, "Mistletoe and Holly," to throw his allegiance behind The Salvation Army's cornucopia of good deeds. The song was originally sung by 1950s crooner Frank Sinatra.
