It is legal in most U.S. states, including California, where the video of Miley Cyrus was shot, but it can produce effects such as uncontrolled laughter, overlapping realities, incoordination, dizziness, and slurred speech.

Many have criticized Miley Cyrus for partaking in this behavior, as although the video was not meant to be seen by the public, Miley is a public figure and a role model for many young girls so it is feared her behavior may influence others.

Salvia divinorum is said to have such an intense and unpleasant effect once you try it once, that most people don't want to try it again - wonder if Miley now feels the same way?

What concerns me the most about this whole 'drug war' situation is that the voices of FREEDOM, PERSONAL CHOICE, and LIBERTY never seem to be heard over the roar of the prohibitionists.  They had their chance to prove the benefit of violent prohibition with alcohol and it is obvious to all that it FAILED MISERABLY.  I don't know why we, as a nation, cannot or will not wake up to these facts and seriously make a move to end this tax-funded violence against the American People.
