Actor Samuel L. Jackson has just inked a nine-picture deal with Marvel Studios.

The deal will see Jackson take on the role of Nick Fury, agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., in a huge list of superhero movies that already includes Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America, The Avengers — and will likely expand to include as many sequels as can possibly be squeezed out of the franchise.

Samuel L. Jackson is in with Marvel bigtime. The actor has signed an unprecedented nine-picture deal to play Nick Fury in a series of Marvel movies. For the last few weeks, it appeared that Jackson was not interested in reprising his role. Now, he is the agent spy with the outfit S.H.I.E.L.D for nine films that include Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America, The Avengers and its sequels.
