Sarah Jessica Parker's surrogate mother's privacy has been threated, and the actress has expressed concern for the woman carrying her twins. Due to the media attention, Parker said that the woman had received phone threats and her computer had been hacked in to. The woman's friends and relatives have also been a target of threats.

Parker said:

"She's had friends threatened and family threatened and she's had family of friends threatened."

Sarah Jessica and her husband Matthew Broderick are expecting twins through this surrogate, and they already have a six year old son, James Wilkie Broderick.
