To Premier Dalton McGuinty:I oppose your decision to withhold funding for transit improvements and repairs in the GTA. Toronto is the center of commerce for the Province yet it is hobbled by an arcaic and inadequate transit system. Equally as important, the citizens of Toronto suffer from the pollutants that vehicular traffic brings us. It is not the time to delay upgrading the GTA public transit system.Sincerely,Richard Reinert39 Parliament St., ON M5A 4r2

I do not trust any financial plans created by Mayor Miller and though a Toronto born resident who wants more transit construction, I do not want a penny spent on transit until we have a new mayor and get rid of Miller/NDP's ideologically driven policy of tendering TTC projects with Building Trade Union monopoly labour restrictions. Not only does this inflate costs 30% but it is clearly discrimination against qualified construct tradespeople who do not want to join the Unions of the Mayor's allies. No other municpality in Ontario or Country accepts this sort of idiousy and waste of public money and it has to be stopped.
