Scientology commercial and is Beyonce in the Illuminati
Did you see the new Scientology commerical during the Super Bowl? It was very well made. It urged "seekers of knowledge" to find out about the church. Well, this church is a scam, even for a religion. Check out the South Park episode on the church, to find out more how silly its' beliefs are in fact. But anyway, I envy the ability of Scientology to spend a cool $8 million to promote their beliefs.
As a humanist, I want to see humanism spread in the U.S. Well, it has spread for the past 2000 years, but most people don't realize it. The principles of the Enlightenment: freedom of speech, freedom of religion, that all legitimate government flows from the people and not a monarch or supposed god, are also the same principles as humanism. Humanist organizations such as the American Humanist Association and the Center for Free Inquiry exist to educate Americans, and others, about these principles.
They, along with atheist groups, often put up billboards. It would be great to have a pro-humanist ad runned in the Super Bowl, or maybe a humanist athlete, post-game, talk about his humanist beliefs. After all, I don't think I have ever seen a Super Bowl where there wasn't a mention of a god by an athlete.
Unfortunately, humanist organizations don't have the money to put up Super Bowl ads. Scientology, for example, fleeces people out of money in some weird exercise about people having the souls of dead aliens. To them $8 million isn't that much, but it would be a huge amount of money to a humanist organization. In 2007, the American Humanist Association had an annual budget of about $1 million dollars. That would equal 7.5 seconds of a commercial during the Super Bowl.
While the budget has probably risen a bit since then, it's hard to spread a message with such thin coffers. So, if you are a wealthy humanist out there, just by chance, please sponsor next year a humanist television ad during the Super Bowl. Or, if you win the Power Ball lottery, or whatever.
By the way, some are saying Beyonce flashed an Illuminati sign during her dance. Well, I doubt if she is part of the Illuminiti, but she has as much a right, if she is, to support the Illuminiti that Ray Lewis has to talk about his supposed god after the game. The Illuminiti were freethinkers, and for a nation founded upon freethought, maybe it is good for more Americans to learn about them.
