The saga of Drew Peterson, abused women, a missing wife, a murdered wife, and media manipulation lumbers on. Months ago, after analyzing documents from Kathleen Savio's death, I detailed how a murder can be made to look like accidental drowning.

Why did Bolingbrook, Illinois officials not figure this out? Why was Drew Peterson, who once was fired for outing an undercover officer to a killer, still running around with a badge?

Those questions have yet to be answered, as the search for Stacy picks up again.

The tawdry tale of former Bolingbrook cop and murder suspect Drew Peterson and his missing fourth wife Stacy Peterson blooms anew with spring. As for third wife Kathleen Savio, found dead and "drowned" in a dry bathtub, no arrest has yet been made in what officials now consider to be a homicide.

Let's review, shall we? Four wives, the second says she's still terrified of Peterson. Third wife, Savio, dead, after multiple calls for help to Peterson's own police department and a poignant but ignored letter to a prosecutor. She left behind more than a million dollars in assets, which fell into Drew Peterson's custody, along with their two children.

Although it took Illinois authorities years and the pressure of the public spotlight, Fox News reporter Greta Van Susteren, and the intervention of famed forensics expert Dr. Michael Baden to decide Savio had been killed, her family knew her death was no accident. After we read the coroner's initial report and accounts of Savio's death, we here at Peanut headquarters knew it was no accident.

In fact, back in November 2007, shortly after Stacy Peterson disappeared, we told you how easily someone who knows how can make a murder look like an accidental drowning.

A quick note: I've attempted to edit and add more material to this story several times, but can't do it. I do, however, get red and green squares when attempting to add links, so I'm guessing new features are on the way.

good stuff:

PEP, I like this story. It's good stuff.

I've been covering this story since November. It's a nasty one. Thanks for the flag, Jordan! :)

good stuff:

PEP, I like this story. It's good stuff. Sounds like the authoring of a murder/mystery/romance(?) book is on the way for you!

BTW...when will the show "Who Wants To Marry a Serial Wife Killer?" be aired?

add: Peterson should forevermore be known as Drew "O.J." Peterson.

TheBigR, thanks for all your comments.

According to Drew, he's a chick magnet.      ;}

Note for Jordan: I couldn't reply by using the "reply" function; it locked up like the "edit" function did.

And when I hit the "enter" key or the "backspace" key the Italics indicator flashes like a winning slot machine. So what did I win?

You won... a brand-new bug report! (audience applause, confetti)

Jordan its all growing pains... It will get better

good stuff:

PEP, good story, want this girl found, what a painful thing for a family
