Kicking off the weekend with a killer performance, Selena Gomez stopped by "Good Morning America" earlier today (June 17).

The 18-year-old Disney star sang her hits "Who Says" and "Love You Like a Love Song" as her fans went nuts in Central Park, New York  City.

Just yesterday (June 16) Selena was spotted down south as she took to the Mall of Georgia for her "Monte Carlo" Mall Tour.

With the gig taking place at the Village Amphitheater in Atlanta, Miss Gomez performed for her anxiously awaiting fans and at one point treated the crowd to a rendition of the "Cat Daddy".

Clearly appreciative of her loyal supporters, she tweeted upon the fan event's end, "Thanks for coming out, Atlanta! I had a great time."

In related news, the "Wizards of Waverly Place" star recently opened up to E! for a new special airing June 29th, during which she said, "I never really said I want to be a role model. But then when it happened I was so down for it. I'm human, I'm not perfect. I make mistakes all the time, but I guess my job is to keep those mistakes to myself, which I'm already fine doing and just try to be the best I can be for those kids."

Of being perched in the spotlight, the 18-year-old said, "This is a very superficial job. I sit in a chair for two hours and get hair and makeup done and talk about [myself] in interviews. That's a very vain thing to do. And I do get caught up in it sometimes."

Providing listeners with another dose of ear candy, Selena Gomez recently leaked her new song "Whiplash," which was co-written by Britney Spears.

As it turns out, the track was originally slated to be on Brit Brit's new Femme Fatale album, and when it was cut, Gomez swooped in and snatched it up.

"Whiplash" will be featured on Selena's forthcoming opus When the Sun Goes Down, and she'll even perform a tribute to Spears on her upcoming tour.
