The Police (Tour 2007) Performing King OF Pain
Like the Rolling Stones have proven for at least the past 100 decades, it pays to stay together.  And if your rock band has long since broken up, it's as simple as this: re-unite, rehearse, and reap the benefits.

We need look no further than the tour earnings of newly re-formed supergroups like The Police and Genesis for this year's evidence.

The Police reunion trek led all tours in 2007 with a gross that has passed $212 million and is still climbing. The global tour few thought would ever happen moved more than 1.8 million tickets, according to Billboard Boxscore, prior to the Boxscore cutoff date of Nov. 13.

The Police tour was produced by TNA International and RZO Productions, and played stadiums, arenas and festivals.

Another heavy-hitting international arena/stadium outing was Genesis' Turn It on Again tour, produced by Michael Cohl's CPI. Selling out stadiums in Europe and arenas in the United States, Genesis' 46 shows grossed $129 million.

ACC Toronto November 8, 2007. The Police played their 3rd Toronto date of the tour and the love affair with Toronto audiences continued. Many of those who were there returned November 9th for their final date. I was one of them.

The show in Chile was incredible. I've seen and heard some stuff from the first shows of The Police reunited and I went disappointed, but it happened some months ago. Now their live sound is great, powerful.
