Does anyone else find it strange (or even care) that the Big Apple itself is not the host city of this premier?

I think its good that the movie is having its world premiere in London. As a huge fan of Sex and the City, I think it shows that it has huge world wide appeal and will help to build up a bigger fan base. Coming from London myself, and going to the premiere, I see this as a chance to boost Londons tourist franchise as well as the movie itself will boost NYC tourist franchise. But, on the ITV news today it said it was purely down on economic factors that London was having the premiere, it said that the premiere was in London because of the weak dollar. signature: adult toys the most fun you can have without laughing.
