The Sex Party: Yet another reason to live in Vancouver

The Sex Party, the first registered sex-positive political party in the world, is running three candidates in the May 12 election, the same number that ran in the 2005 election.

The Party has a unique perspective on the key election issues:

THE ENVIRONMENT: HOT SEX WILL COOL THE PLANET A major cause of the environmental crisis is sexual frustration. When people are sexually starved they compensate through excess consumerism. The rich physical pleasure of sexuality is an antidote to a materialism that never satisfies. The BC government should promote more erotic pleasure rather than more development.

REDUCING HEALTH CARE COSTS Scientific studies show that orgasms have many health benefits. The more the erotic pleasure in one's life, the better and longer one's life is likely to be.The BC government can reduce health care costs through educating the public about the importance of an active sex life.

THE SEX TRADE: CHANGE LAWS WHICH PROHIBIT INDOOR SEX WORK The BC government is culpable in the victimization of sex workers in our community. A host of BC laws prevent sex workers from legally working indoors. The province must repeal this laws which directly harm some of our most vulnerable citizens.

GANG VIOLENCE: MANDATORY ORGASM TESTING FOR GANGSTERS Gangs are populated by testosterone-crazed males who express their hormonal storm through violence. Sexual activity is a much healthier way of discharging surging male energy. Men convicted of gang offenses should have mandatory orgasm-testing, showing at least two climaxes a day, or back to jail.
