Shaq vs Hong Man Choi MMA fight

Shaquille O’Neal continues to bolster the hopes of Cleveland Cavaliers fans by concentrating on everything but the upcoming NBA sports betting season. The Big Witness Protection Program has challenged 7-foot-2 Korean MMA fighter, Hong Man Choi, who is basically just a circus attraction for Asians to goggle at. O’Neal laid down the challenge to fight him at the end of his basketball career, and Choi has accepted. Now the two-five year wait begins!

Hong Man Choi is a bleached blonde, ugly-as-sin giant from Korea who holds an official record of 2-3. The last time he fought a North American athlete was when he pummeled – yep – Jose Conseco. Choi is a noted kick boxer, but is also paid big bucks to step in the ring with just about anybody because Asians just love gigantic versions of themselves. With Yao Ming out of the spotlight, Choi can step in to be the Godzilla main attraction that they so desire.

My question for you is if you care or not. Shaq stepped in the ring with Oscar De La Hoya on his show “Shaq Vs.” and basically they put on a staged “exhibition” where they pretended to get mad at each other and laid some serious blows on each other. I mean, if Shaq really got mad at anyone, do you not think he could one-punch anyone straight to the after-life? And if De La Hoya really got mad, do you not think Hoya could have given Shaq a legit concussion? For those of you that thought that play fight was real, I have another piece of news for you – wrestling is fake and Santa Claus is a murderous pedophile.

So if Shaq ever does suit up to wrestle/fight/slap Hong Man Choi, the chances of Shaq actually beating him are pretty slim. Choi is only 29-years old this year. I mean, we’re talking about a “fight” that is at least two years away from happening, meaning Shaq will be that much closer to forty. Great.

Don’t put too much weight in to this whole challenge. Shaq is posturing for the media, as he always does just to get the spotlight. Next thing you know, he’s going to marry a Kardashian and get Seacrest to produce a reality TV show about him. The Big Media Hog did the same stupid challenge to the WWE’s Big Show, and nothing transpired out of it because Shaq temporarily forgets that HE IS GOING TO BE PLAYING IN THE 2009-10 NBA SEASON THIS YEAR. Get away from the camera’s, Shaq. You have a championship to win, don’t you?

Hong has more fighting experience than Shaq, but if Shaq gets serious about MMA he may stand a chance. It's hard to imagine Shaq serious about anything though....

LOL!!! I see you have no faith in Shaq...this fight will probably never happen anyway...Shaq is too worried about his looks

Hmmm, perhaps he should be gearing up for a catwalk then.....

By watching that "Shaq vs." episode with him boxing Jose you can tell Shaq isn't much of a boxer

That would be fun seen Hong Man Choi kicking Shaq's ass lol....Never thought that could be possible until now!

I think about everyone would want to see this fight, especially Shaq haters

This is exactly why the Cleveland Cavaliers will be no closer to winning an NBA title than they were last season when they got totally spanked by a superior Orlando Magic team. Adding an aging Shaq who can't grab six rebounds a game worked really, really well for the Phoenix Suns now didn't it?

Well...maybe thats why Shaq has taken on other options...

I hope Choi knocks some sense into Shaq, he's just a media whore.

True, but he's got true entertainment value

This is the new fad - all celebrities are going into MMA now.

Not all celebrities, but the reason is that there is real money in MMA, and its growing

Funny piece!

(I think it does need an opinion flag though - you can do that by checking the box in the edit mode)

I put my bets on Hong-Man Choi. In my opinion he is not a kickboxer at all but has a lot of fighting experience though. It will be fun to watch anyway.
