Shear Genius Reality Show Season 3 Ended and Brig Van Osten Announced as Winner
Brig Van Osten was announced as the winner of Shear Genius season 3 against Jannie and Matthew.
For the final show, the stylists had to style the hair for six model for Henry Duarte's runway show. Henry Duarte is known for his rock and roll inspired looks.
The contestants got to pick two assistants for their challenge as well and Brig Van Osten picked Faatemah and April. Jannie picked Arzo and Jon and Matthew picks Amy and Brian. Brig's strategy is that she wants to laminate the model's hair to give it a more 'rocker' look but only tells April of her decision and not Faatemah so that her secret will not get leaked to the other contestants.
The next day Brig almost runs out of time for the challenge but she completes the task and she is totally happy with the final look. The judges thought that the idea was creative and innovative for the most part, except Jonathan asks why Brig she uses so many hats and couldn't understand it.
However, the final winner is Brig and judging from the many blogs about the show, she was the favorite to win.
This year the show was packed with some of the best stylists in the world from Oribe, Kim Vo, Kevin Mancuso, Robert Vetica, Tabatha Coffey and Ken Paves.

Brig was great, but Amy was my all time fave. She was great. Since I am Canadian maybe I am biased. She is so nice though.

APRIL 9,2010 BRIG WAS UNIQUE AND A "SHEAR GENIUS HAIRSTYLIST". I LOVED HER BOWS'AND HER "DYNAMIC PERSONALITY"JOB WELL DONE BRIG" MATTHEW WAS OK AS WAS JANINE. THE JUDGES DID A "FANTASTIC JOB" IN THEIR DECISION.

Brig never did hair. She always used hair pieces, shear genius?? hardly. the show's choice was offensive. this show is not to be taken seriously. matthew's hair blew me away, and janine put actual effort! how brig made it so far, is all about fakeness in reality t.v. the producers did it! i will never watch this show again. what a disappointment.

i will never watch this show again either. fake results. fake winner. fake producers. everything fake. i should have known something from the start when they kicked off tabitha way earlier in shear genius seasons.

Final episode you were the one who had a conversation with the designer skillfully allowing him to show you the collection. You were open to sugestion and gracefully handeled the interview. Your ability to work with a designer was sheer genius. Congratulations Brig!....Next season contestants take note.Stop your bitching..cameras are running and someone is doing the editing.
