DNC: Sheryl Crow at Red Rocks

The DNC got off to a rock & roll'y start on Sunday night as rockers Sheryl Crow, Dave Matthews, and Jennifer Nettles performed at Red Rocks Amphitheater outside Denver. Follow NowPublic's coverage of the Democratic National Convention here.

Singing at the Democratic convention, Sheryl Crow dedicated her song "Strong Enough" to Barack Obama and then added a twist to the lyrics for the occasion.

"Are you strong enough to be my man, or my president?" Crow sang to her party's nominee and his newly announced running mate.

Dave Matthews and Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles also sang at the kickoff concert Sunday night at Red Rocks Amphitheater outside Denver. The national convention was to begin in earnest Monday at the Pepsi Center following Obama's weekend announcement of Delaware Sen. Joseph Biden as his vice presidential running mate.

Dave Matthews was awesome at the Mile High Music Festival in Denver. He made a great addition to an awesome line-up of artists and really made the event a huge success for its first year. If you have never seen Dave live, I suggest you do so. It is definately worth it!
