The paradigm of society is very differenf from even 15 years ago. Youngsters, esp Maori, are turning to drugs in a wholesale way in a bid to live an escapsist life style bred by unemployment and lax discipline in their life styles. They simply have no need for accountancy in their lives and this is reflected by these bold acts.

Most of these youths are bought up by solo mums who can't control wayward sons and probably have no interest in doing so. Either that or bringing home wayward men who are bad examples or cruel bastards. Either way, bums.

I've said before, Maori women are much to blame for societies ills because they let themselves be easy prey for dominating, self absorbed, control freak Maori men who have never really grown beyond the age of 12.

Bring back military conscription, hard labour and the coming boot camps.

I would stress education should accompany these stratagems. Certificates, diplomas, degrees. This will loosen the stronghold gangs have in communities and give the present generation skills along with punishment and discipline.

You would be surprised how many middle class Maori and Polynesians would endorse these initiatives.
