Simon Cowell and Ellen Degeneres Feud on American Idol Escalates

Inside sources at American Idol are claiming that the on-going feud between judges Simon Cowell and Ellen Degeneres is escalating. The sources assert that the notorious American Idol judge and day time talk show host are unapologetic and not even trying to hide their disdain for one another.

Apparently Degeneres is not a fan of Cowell's scathing critiques and therefore Cowell is upping the ante with his disses so to irk her as much as possible. The feud apparently started after Simon showed up late to Degeneres' first American Idol taping, making the new judge wait around. Cowell admitted his tardiness in an interview saying, "It was a difficult position for her because she started work on the Hollywood Week, which is quite a difficult show to do. There was one story I read that I turned up an hour late or something and that she wanted to film. I mean, the truth was I think I turned up 15 or 20 minutes late because I did a press conference earlier in the day and they did start filming, but that wasn't a particular problem. But no, there was no fallout. I was trying to guide her through the week, and that was about it, really."

Cowell and Degeneres were initially seated next to one another but producers have since separated the two judges. Last week Cowell even commented on their supposed strained relationship saying, "I wouldn't say that we didn't get on well. I don't know Ellen that well."
