But, who is Simon Monjack, Brittany Murphy's husband?
Like Brittany Murphy herself, Simon Monjack belongs to the Hollywood cohort. Except he is on the other side of the screen, being a producer, director and screenwriter. Monjack's filmography includes Two Days, Nine Lives (2000) and Factory Girl (2006). In 2007, Monjack directed a movie adaptation of The White Hotel, a novel about Sigmund Freud. Monjack's wife Brittany Murphy played a leading role in Monjack's movie.
Murphy and Monjack wed in May 2007 in what was reported to be a very intimate ceremony officiated by a rabbi and attended by close family. It was reported that the couple was very close.
