This is an excellent film and I hope they get the award.

"Rooster's Breakfast", the top-grossing Slovenian movie of 2007, was selected among the five candidates which applied to DSFU as Slovenia's candidate for the Oscar.
The US Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has been conferring the awards since 1929. The Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film has meanwhile been conferred yearly for the best film in a language other than English since 1947.
"Rooster's Breakfast" won the audience award at the Festival of Slovenian Film in October and the Vesna Award for best direction and best story (Marko Nabersnik), as well best male lead (Vlado Novak). Pia Zemljic meanwhile received an award from Entertainment magazine Stop for her portrayal of the leading female character.
The film, set in the late 1990s, is a social drama that traces the story of Gajas, a car mechanic, and Djuro, his his apprentice, the former fantasising about Croatian pop star Severina and the latter embarking on a risky love affair with a local beauty.
