If you've ever wanted to bang out beats for Billy Corgan, now's your chance.

This Friday, in Los Angeles, the Smashing Pumpkins (ie. the lone front man Corgan) will hold auditions for a new drummer.

For something as momentous as this though, you'd think the band could come up with a more innovative web-centric strategy for getting the word out than simply setting up a GMail account.

Nevertheless, aspiring Pumpkin rhythm junkies can forward their drunken YouTube demos and Facebook party pics to pumpskinsdrummer@gmail.com

Just remember that you'll have Jimmy Chamberlin-sized shoes and grooves to fill. And he "left the job" less than 2 weeks ago.
