Snooki treats TV audience to pre-taped Jersey moment on NYE

Dealing with her change of locale with ease, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi treated television audiences to a New Year's Eve pre-taped moment at the Jersey Shore.

The pint-sized reality TV star appeared in a replica of the Times Square ball and slowly made her way down, signifying the stroke of  midnight.

As for the confusion of why Snooki dropped in Jersey rather than the Big Apple, MTV producers said in a statement, "It was never intended or requested for Snooki to be in the actual New Year's Eve Ball in Times Square. The request to have her in a separate ball on a set-back roof came too late and was too impractical to fit in to our outdoor events."

Meanwhile, Miss Polizzi did take to the Big Apple on Friday night as she attended Newyearseve.com's After Party at Madame Tussauds.

On Thursday (December 30) , the "Jersey Shore" star was spotted hard at work in Seaside Heights, New Jersey as she filmed "Snooki's New Year's Eve Ball Drop".

Though the original plan was for Snooki to be a part of the Times Square festivities, an MTV rep explained they had to tweak the idea.

"We love our Times Square home and while we're disappointed there won't be a Snooki ball drop there, she cannot be denied! So we're taking a road trip to the place where it all began, Seaside Heights, and droppin' it all there."

While feisty castmate Angelina may be gone, Jenni “JWoww” Farley promises plenty of wildness in the upcoming season of "Jersey Shore".

Of the hit MTV series, which returns on January 6th, JWoww recently told InTouch, “There’s a whole lot of drama!”

As for who's causing the trouble, Miss Farley admits she plays a large part, dishing, “You will see that I go through a bad breakup, and I find new love."

The brunette beauty, who split with Tom Lippolis during the summer and is now dating Roger Mathews, continued, “Everyone finally gets to see my side of the story, and I come out of my shell.”
