Here is your ticket back in. During my adventures on Newsvine I have learned how Newsvine tracks people who have signed on after they have been banned. I was using the same computer for each incarnation and kept getting thrown off Newsvine until I figured it out. So at first I thought that was the problem. Newsvine cannot track individual computer IP addresses without a lot of extra effort, and they have to do it quickly before it changes on its own. The IP address they can track is not your computer’s individual number. It is your service providers assigned number. Those change at random. There are also other ways that I will be mentioning later as to the tactics that Newsvine uses to discover regens. I started using my other computer and successfully stayed on Newsvine without getting caught as what is known as being a regen. The first thing you need to do is delete all of your cookies, and your Internet history. Another good idea is to wait a couple of weeks, they will be expecting you. If you wait a couple of weeks they will begin to drop their guard. And more than likely you’re assigned IP address will have changed. It is a small inconvenience that I am sure you will not mind if you’re addicted to that site. It turns out it does not matter what computer you are using since my laptop and my PC had the same IP address. If you are a standard Internet user, your IP address changes every so often according to the demand in the area. There are times when my IP address shows me logging onto the Internet over 1000 miles away from where I actually was. Now here is the basic rundown on how to survive on Newsvine without getting caught. You need to create a totally different e-mail address, after you remove your cookies and history, then sign on to Newsvine using your new e-mail address. The rest of what I say I learned the hard way. Just a few rules to get you embedded safely. First and foremost rule! NEVER visit your old home page on Newsvine! It is a trap! A new person would never know you existed and would have no reason to visit your old page! DO NOT send friend requests to your friends from a previous incarnation and don't go to their pages, you're a new person. Even the ones that know who you are! Those friends should refrain from sending you a friend request right away. They should discover you as if they didn't know you. They should wait at least a few weeks to a month before sending you a friend request and only after you have interacted together in articles acting like you have just met for the first time. You should ask questions on how to do things as you go along to make it look good. I recommend this tactic in order for you to look more genuine as a new person. Start frequenting articles that are different from the ones you usually go to for a little while first, then after a couple of weeks you can randomly go to the articles your accustomed to. Avoid speaking in the same way you did on a previous incarnation! Change your way of saying things. Don't post any articles until you leave the green room or one month has passed whichever comes first. I know these steps seem draconian but if you want to remain undiscovered this is the way you do it. Any other random friend requests you receive during this probationary period is OK. As you know it's part of the game on Newsvine. And you want to blend into the background. Blending into the background is easy if you keep everybody guessing as to whether you are a leftist or a rightist. The first thing people on Newsvine do is categorized your political position. Last and not least, refrain from using any of your old personal quotes and sayings. It is important because that is how they can connect you to your former incarnation. Your speech patterns and the way you formulate your sentences are the biggest parts of how they can find you. There are a lot of nasty characters there that run around in group’s that will recognize the writing style of banned viners and will immediately snitch you off to the moderators. I know this from experience, Dennis was on my ass for weeks trying to probe my identity. I let slip little tidbits of personal information for him about me that in no way could be connected to my previous incarnation. In other words, " I lied". Remember that Dennis is one of the original Newsvine members. He is friends with Tyler and Sally. If he suspects you're a regen, he will alert Tyler and Sally and they will be scrutinizing you. He is not the only one. Newsvine is full of malcontents who will accuse you of being a regen even if it is truly only your first time on Newsvine. They do this mainly because they don’t agree with what you have to say and cannot prove you wrong so that is how they retaliate in the hopes of getting rid of somebody who is intelligent by making you angry. This article was posted in a different version where I mentioned who I was, it was in a private group that I thought I could feel safe with my identity. No group is totally secure, if you wish to keep your account on Newsvine, don’t tell anyone who your new character is on that site. This article got leaked with my identity and I got banned again. Most people get caught after a few days. But ever since I posted the article to several victims of unfair banning on Newsvine, those people are still posting to that site mainly because they listened to my advice. I too can go back to Newsvine but I have noticed that it has gotten very biased in the last year. What used to be healthy debate has turned into bitter name calling and the only ones suffering the brunt of the moderators wrath are the ones who are only trying to defend themselves against the major violators of news Vines code of honor. By the way, so far I was the longest surviving regen on Newsvine. My account was disabled with no mention of being suspended or banned. And that only happened because somebody released the previous version of these instructions which had the current identity I was using at the time in it. The moderators of Newsvine did not want the other members knowing that I was a regen who figured out how to beat their system. Part of the reason why im publishing this is to get the word out to those out there who wish to return to Newsvine. But also in the hopes that they would bring some of the articles from there to this new site (Now Public) for civil discussions without the interference of the majority of dimwits that are so prevalent on Newsvine. This site shows great promise, and I would love to be a part of it as it grows. Hopefully even bigger than Newsvine.
