Solange Knowles, the younger sister of Beyonce, has a new haircut. Solange is almost bald and she likes the fact that her new haircut is easy to maintain.

While some appreciate Solange's bold bald look, many celebrity critics and twitter users have critized Solange's new hair cut. Some of them have even likened Solange to Britney Spears.

In fact, Solange's motivation for the new haircut may indeed be a desire for attention and to distinguish herself from popstar sister Beyonce.

With that in mind, a recent interview had her saying, “I get asked about Beyonce all the time but I try and make fun of it. Sometimes I say she’s not my sister. Other times I say I’ve stuffed her in my suitcase and sent it to Dubai. I have to have fun with it or I’ll turn into Britney – shave my head and go totally crazy.”

Why is it all of a sudden a world crisis when a woman cuts her hair. Maybe they're just sick of the sh!t. It's so sad that men and society have enforced its own standards of what beautiful means. I think she still looks like Solange. Except she now has a fade. Get over it people!

I don't like it but I feel her on the freedom...no need to sport weaves all the time, got to give your scalp a break. Hair always grows back.

Sometimes you just need a change. I had hair halfway down my back, all natural, and cut it to a very short bob. That's not as extreme as what she did but trust me I wanted to. I knew I couldn't pull it off though so I stuck with a little bit of length. We just need a little variety. Think about it. She can rock the short naturals for a day and then switch to the sleek wigs at night. And she got the money for the good wigs so aint no worries

solange and b can pull off anything they are both good performers in two different worlds....so i dont see why everyone is trying to get on her for having some so call swag....just get off her cause she aint no where near crazy britney because she making that paper and thats all that matters.

I LOOOOOOVE this NATURAL look on her! Solange looks like a beautiful Black Queen. You HAVE to be a totally secure woman to rock a short doo like this because you have NOTHING to hide under, lol. She GLOWS with confidence and besides, a lotta women are TOO darn attatched to their hair-- esp. Black women!
